Did you think the Skiathlon could be exciting? Top American out early after a tangle slowed him with a broken pole and an elbow to the face. Final minutes, last stretch, four guys skiing ahead of everyone, four guys in the pack for three medals... four exhausted men pushing not to be the last, and trying to be the first... wanting to make a move but not wanting to make a mistake... four men who now know what they have in them when they have nothing left... then a mass collapse of humanity and skis just across the finish line... my God, but I love this stuff...
